We got there and we kayak all the way to the lake. They made us put a tarp over our head and we were all closed together no air to breathe and we had to touch the water and it was literally like white spark it wasn’t even blue or nothing. It looks like a reflection from the moon. This is the biggest scam pictures look nothing like it. If you’re expecting blue you’re wrong

Dear Jamal,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
However, we would like to clarify a few points for the sake of accuracy and to avoid confusion for future guests. The bioluminescence observed during the tour is a natural phenomenon caused by microscopic organisms known as dinoflagellates. The glow they emit can appear blue, green, or even white depending on environmental factors like moonlight, water clarity, and recent weather conditions. It is not an artificial effect or reflection, but a natural response to movement in the water.
Regarding the use of tarps: these are sometimes used in accordance with Puerto Rico’s strict environmental guidelines to limit light pollution and enhance visibility of the bioluminescence in the water. Safety and comfort are always a priority, and guests are not forced into uncomfortable or unsafe conditions.
We take guest satisfaction seriously and always aim to provide an authentic and respectful experience of Puerto Rico’s natural wonders. If you have specific concerns or would like to discuss your experience further, we encourage you to reach out to us directly.
Warm regards,
Customer Experience Manager
We had an amazing experience on the El Yunque Half-Day Tour offered through the Conquistador Resort!
Our guide, Elija, picked us up right from the hotel lobby, which was super convenient. On the way to the rainforest, he shared interesting facts and fun stories about the history and culture of Puerto Rico—it made the drive go by quickly and kept us engaged from the start.
We passed by the Coca Falls, which looked absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, due to construction and limited parking, we couldn’t stop this time—but it’s definitely something I’ll come back for!
Our first stop was at the Yokahú Tower, where we got to enjoy impressive panoramic views of the east coast, including Luquillo and Fajardo. Next, we visited Baño Grande, a scenic man-made natural pool surrounded by lush vegetation. We also did a short, easy trail where Elija explained the local plants and animals found in El Yunque.
The highlight for me was the stop at the river. It was peaceful and refreshing, and we even learned how the indigenous people used ink from certain rocks as body paint for camouflage—different rocks made different colors!
This tour was the perfect mix of nature, culture, and relaxation. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review of your El Yunque Half-Day Tour experience. We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had an amazing time exploring Puerto Rico’s natural beauty and rich culture with us.
Elija will be thrilled to know his storytelling and insights helped make your journey engaging and enjoyable from the very beginning. It’s always our goal to create a well-rounded experience that combines education, exploration, and relaxation, and your feedback reaffirms we’re on the right path.
While we regret that the stop at Coca Falls wasn’t possible due to ongoing construction, we’re glad you still enjoyed the scenic drive and found value in every other stop along the way—from the breathtaking views at Yokahú Tower to the tranquil moment at the river. The indigenous body paint demonstration is indeed a unique and memorable highlight!
Thank you again for your kind recommendation. We hope to welcome you back soon—perhaps for a longer visit to El Yunque or a new adventure entirely!
The Sunset Sailing Tour at El Conquistador Resort was absolutely unforgettable! We enjoyed stunning views of the sun setting over Icacos Island and the iconic El Conquistador Hotel—a truly picture-perfect backdrop.
David was amazing—friendly, attentive, and very informative. He explained everything the tour includes and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the trip.
The crew was equally wonderful, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. They played tropical music that set the perfect mood, making the entire experience feel like a mini getaway.
To top it off, we witnessed a marriage proposal on board—such a romantic and emotional moment!
We had a fantastic, relaxing time and would absolutely recommend this tour to couples and families alike. A must-do while staying at El Conquistador!

Thank you for making our vacation extra special! My wife and I booked a tour with Off-Road Puerto Rico last weekend, and it exceeded our expectations. Transportation from our hotel to the tour location was flawless—a 5-minute ride and the friendly staff greeted us. Everyone was welcoming and made us feel right at home.
We booked the one-hour UTV experience, and it was terrific. Big thanks to the team—KC and Marquitos—and wow, what a ride!
After the UTV adventure, we were treated to a delicious, authentic BBQ at La Casita de Marquitos, a charming little restaurant that’s part of the tour. Thank you, Chef Chango, for the incredible BBQ ribs and the stunning ocean view that completed the experience.
We’ll be back. Highly recommended!
