What's Included

Enjoy a half-day adventure to explore El Yunque National Forest. We will walk for 15 to 20 minutes to get to the river, where you can swim, take pictures, get your feet in the water, relax, and lay back in the peaceful view and environment.

Up next is a stop in the Observatory Yokahú Tower, where you can go up 96 steps to see a panoramic view of the forest. Then we’ll go to La Coca Waterfall (no swimming at this stop).

Last but not least, before we head back to the hotel, we’ll make a quick final stop at a souvenir shop, and while you’re there, you can sip a refreshing piña colada or beer.

Did you know that the National Forest El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the national forest system. At nearly 29,000 acres, it is one of the smallest in size yet one of the most biologically diverse. Come and experience the breathtaking scenery, clear mountain rivers, and outdoor recreation opportunities all year round.

The rainforest is super beautiful and extremely unique, an absolute must to see. We originally wanted to go on our own, but so glad we decided to use the tour. The roads are very hard to navigate, and change all the time depending on the weather and the maintenance. Our tour guides Luis and Ruben grew up in the area, were very knowledgeable and so much fun!! it really adds to the visit to learn more about the culture in the history as well as the unique aspects of this rainforest. Oh well worth it 🙂
